Ingeteam has secured two contracts with European Energy to supply 22 medium-voltage power transformer stations for two new photovoltaic plants in Australia: Lancaster (106 MW) in Victoria and Mulwala (31 MW) in New South Wales. Combined, the projects are expected to generate around 255 GWh annually, enough to power approximately 54,000 homes.
The supply package includes 77 photovoltaic inverters of the INGECON SUN Power B Series, integrated into the transformer stations. In addition, Ingeteam will deliver commissioning services and the control systems for the plants (PPCs).
Jorge Guillén, Sales Manager for the Photovoltaic and Storage sector in Australia, highlighted that this project marks the start of their collaboration with European Energy, driven by Ingeteam’s extensive experience supplying over 4 GW of renewable energy technology across Australia.
With a presence in North Wollongong for more than a decade and a market share of about 25% in Australia’s solar sector, Ingeteam is strengthening its role as a key technology provider supporting the country’s energy transition.
