North Sea - The King was given a guided tour of two offshore platforms, from TenneT and Neptune Energy.
TenneT has announced that the King of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander visited their Hollandse Kust Zuid platform as part of his working visit in the context of the future of the energy system in the North Sea.
According to Tennet, during this working visit, the King was given a guided tour of two offshore platforms, from TenneT and Neptune Energy. The King also looked at Vattenfall's Hollandse Kust (south) offshore wind farm and he visited the pilot with floating solar panels from Oceans of Energy.
According to the company, the North Sea plays an important role in energy transition, as a large part of the Dutch energy can be generated at sea. The Netherlands is in a special position that, in addition to the presence of extensive gas infrastructure, large quantities of wind energy that are of international importance can be harvested on the Dutch part of the North Sea.
