Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced significant new orders in its Power and Transmission sector, with projects both in India and internationally. The company’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has won a notable contract for setting up a 765 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) in western India. Alongside this, L&T has been awarded a turnkey contract to construct a transmission line for power evacuation in the same region, aimed at boosting the energy infrastructure.
On the international front, L&T has expanded its reach with projects in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. In Saudi Arabia, the company secured contracts for two 380 kV overhead transmission lines extending over 130 kilometers, which will support the power supply to key areas near Riyadh. In the UAE, L&T won a turnkey contract for constructing and commissioning two 132/11 kV GIS substations. Additionally, L&T was awarded a contract for a 132 kV GIS substation in Qatar.
Furthermore, L&T has recently secured its largest-ever order from QatarEnergy LNG for an offshore compression project, which involves the engineering, procurement, and installation of two large offshore complexes.
These latest wins reaffirm L&T’s leadership in the power transmission and offshore infrastructure sectors, further strengthening its position both in the Indian and international markets.
