Tradelossa, a Mexican heavy haul transport company, recently completed the successful transport of a 282-ton transformer from Altamira, Tamaulipas, to Apodaca, Nuevo León, covering a distance of approximately 450 kilometers.
The operation involved detailed planning and execution to manage the massive cargo, which measured 11 meters in length and 4.5 meters in both width and height. The transformer originated from the Port of Altamira, one of Mexico’s main logistics hubs for specialized cargo, and was destined for a region integral to northern Mexico’s industrial and energy development.
The project included the deployment of 48 modular axles (14 front + 14 rear), the use of the FAKTOR 5 girder bridge beam system with 550-ton capacity, and four heavy-duty trucks to ensure safe transport. Route analysis, permit acquisition, and modular compatibility were central to the solution.
According to Tradelossa, the FAKTOR 5 system played a key role in reducing transit risks by maintaining near-ground stability and ensuring precision maneuvering for timely delivery.
With over 52 years of experience, Tradelossa continues to support domestic and international industrial movements through door-to-door heavy and oversized load transport services.
