MINNESOTA – A new power transformer arrived to a New Prague substation along Columbus Avenue SE to replace one that had been in service since 1975, reports New Prague Times.
The old transformer was installed in 1975 and has never really been turned off.
The new transformer is expected to be up and running within a week. It will provide power for half of the community and export energy out onto the transmission grid for Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency.
