PARAGUAY – The state power company Ande has issued a call to support phase two of a project to improve the transmission and distribution system in the metropolitan region of Asunción.
The European Investment Bank is helping to finance the $56 million tender, which is divided into three lots. The winners will have 36 months to complete the work, reports BNamericas.
Offers are due on April 26, according to procurement information.
On Thursday, IDB announced the approval of a $260 million loan to expand the country’s electricity dispatch infrastructure.
Ande also met in recent days with a team from Latin American development bank CAF to identify investments, specifically works for up to $300 million under the company’s 2022-23 works plan.
Talks included new areas of support such as green hydrogen and electromobility.
