
Pauwels Transformers has built and tested a strategic spare power transformer for the Norther offshore wind farm in Belgium. The 410MVA/220kV unit weighs nearly 300 tonnes and is intended to increase the reliability of power delivery from the country’s largest offshore wind installation.

Pauwels Transformers specializes in turnkey substation solutions, including mobile and compact modular substations. The company has delivered substations up to 500kV for clients in over 50 countries. Its customer base includes utilities, industrial operators, and renewable energy companies.
The delivery of this spare unit strengthens Norther’s capacity to maintain stable operations, even during planned maintenance or unexpected outages.
