Power and Data Management LLC (PDM) has announced the opening of its new North American manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. This site is set to produce utility-grade transformers and high-voltage circuit breakers, addressing growing demand across the U.S. from data centers, utilities, and enterprise companies for domestically manufactured power equipment.
The new facility, located on Quality Electrical Systems’s (QES's) 350,000-square-foot campus in West Jordan, will enable PDM to provide products with shorter lead times, alleviating ongoing supply chain disruptions in the transformer sector. Jake Ring, managing partner and president at PDM, emphasized the importance of bolstering U.S. production: “It is essential for us to support U.S. demand for domestically manufactured products and contribute to the economy.”
QES CEO Ken Worton expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting the benefits of producing PDM transformers alongside QES’s existing custom electrical products for expanded efficiencies and market reach.
This strategic expansion strengthens PDM’s North American footprint, offering more accessible and timely power solutions to support the evolving needs of AI-driven data centers and electric power distribution.
