
In 2025, utilities company ChuPES will carry out major repairs on 783 substations and 463 kilometers of overhead power lines throughout the Chui region, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Additionally, 4,982 transformer substations and 4,044 kilometers of overhead lines will undergo maintenance. Crews will also trim tree branches along 4,772 kilometers of power lines and replace emergency power transmission supports.
These measures aim to provide high-quality electricity to consumers and prevent power outages in the region.
Preparations are part of an annual effort by power engineers to ensure reliable electricity during the autumn-winter period, with work typically occurring from March 1 to November 1.
In 2024, ChuPES completed repairs on 816 transformer substations and 510 kilometers of overhead lines. The company serves approximately 300,000 consumers and includes 9 RES: Keminskaya, Chuiskaya, Issyk-Atinskaya, Kantskaya, Alamedinskaya, Sokulukskaya, Moskovskaya, Zhaiylskaya, and Panfilovskaya.
