OJSC NESK (Open Joint Stock Company “North-Eastern Electric Networks”) will install 281 modern TMG transformers across Kyrgyzstan in 2025 as part of a major infrastructure modernization effort. The transformers, rated at 6–10/0.4 kV, will be deployed in regional production power areas managed by local electrical network enterprises (PEs).
The initiative is part of the national “Modernisation and Sustainability of the Electricity Sector and Preparation for the Upcoming Autumn-Winter Period” program, aimed at strengthening the country’s power grid and improving readiness for peak seasonal demand.
The phased replacement of outdated equipment will enhance the efficiency, reliability, and resilience of Kyrgyzstan’s electricity infrastructure. The new transformers are expected to reduce technical losses, improve power supply quality, and help stabilize the grid under growing load conditions.
This large-scale effort reflects Kyrgyzstan’s continued focus on energy sector upgrades, supporting national goals for long-term grid sustainability and operational stability.
