Pittsburgh, PA - On April 26 this year PPG has completed a $15-million expansion of its powder coatings production facility in Brazil, Ind.
The expansion included 20,000 square feet of additional space and the installation of two state-of-the-art production lines for bonded metallic powder and automated packaging capabilities. The enhancements to the facility will allow PPG to better serve customers in the appliance and general industrial manufacturing sectors, while also meeting growing consumer needs for sustainable coating solutions.
PPG has been focused on expanding its powder coatings offerings and increasing production to meet growing customer demand since 2019. This expansion is part of the company's strategic efforts to achieve those goals. PPG plans to add up to 12 new jobs at the Brazil plant, which now employs 90 people. With headquarters in Pittsburgh, PPG operates in more than 70 countries, serving customers in construction, consumer products, industrial and transportation markets, and aftermarkets.
