RESA Power, LLC ("RESA"), a leader in power systems electrical testing and transformer services, announced the acquisition of THE Chem Lab Ltd. ("Chem Lab") on July 17, 2024. Chem Lab, established in 2008, operates a state-of-the-art laboratory in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in power transformer fluid diagnostics and analysis for Canadian customers.
This acquisition enhances RESA's high-voltage electrical equipment insulation fluid testing capabilities, crucial for power transformer predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Mark Angus, RESA Power’s Chief Growth Officer, stated, “We are delighted to welcome Martin and the THE Chem Lab team to RESA Power. This acquisition mirrors a vital resource we offer in the USA, introducing a specialized capability for our transformer services in Canada.”

In alignment with RESA Power’s "One RESA" approach, all newly acquired employees from Chem Lab will participate in the Employee Ownership Plan (EOP) after completing a year of service. This initiative underscores RESA Power’s appreciation for its workforce and promotes a culture of collective ownership.
