Johannesburg - A glimmer of hope shines on Soweto as Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi makes a commitment to bring electricity to the residents.
Lesufi acknowledges the prolonged struggle in some areas of Soweto, where transformers have been malfunctioning, leaving communities in the dark for extended periods.
In response to this pressing issue, both the power utility Eskom and the province have initiated a transformer replacement program, which was launched just last month. This program aims to rectify the longstanding power problems in the area.
Lesufi affirms the province's commitment to supporting Eskom in delivering electricity to the people, promising a brighter future for the residents of Soweto.
