DOETINCHEM, NETHERLANDS — According to the company, the damaged transformer will be eventually recycled and put to use again.
Tennet have recently announced that the restoration of a fire-damaged substation was successfully completed. The Langerak high-voltage substation, near Doetinchem, had suffered a fire just before Christmas 2019, when one of the 380 kV transformers had caught fire and been irreparably damaged.
Now, according to the company, new walls have been placed and the soil remediated the new transformer driven into the station. The transformer is now being further prepared, connected, tested, and put into use.
