Trafo Power Solutions, renowned for its agile project execution and extensive experience in Africa, has secured a contract to supply crucial equipment to a copper-zinc mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The company is set to deliver three mini-substations and two transformers, playing a pivotal role in the mine's expansion plans.
David Claassen, Managing Director of Trafo Power Solutions, emphasized the pressure to meet tight deadlines from the outset of the project. Despite challenges such as the annual December break in South Africa, the company is committed to delivering the units to the mine site within a remarkable four-month timeframe.
The order includes two 2000 kVA transformers and three dry-type miniature substations, addressing the need to step down electricity supply and upgrade the mine's electrical infrastructure. Notably, Trafo Power Solutions' specialization in dry-type transformer applications allows for innovative design solutions tailored to specific project requirements.
The design of the equipment accounts for unique challenges, such as the high ambient temperatures in the region and the need to fit the new transformers into the existing substation space without re-engineering. This highlights the company's flexibility and ability to provide custom solutions while ensuring efficient installation processes.
Trafo Power Solutions' commitment to quality and efficiency extends beyond delivery, offering value-added services like commissioning and assistance. As the demand for rapid project execution grows across sectors, the company remains dedicated to meeting evolving client expectations while maintaining uncompromised quality standards.
