Transformers and Rectifiers (India) has secured export orders worth USD 16.80 million (approx. Rs 141 crore), the company announced in a recent filing. These contracts are split between two major deals from Linxon Global Sweden and ArcelorMittal Mexico.
The larger of the two, valued at USD 14 million, involves supplying 18 trackside traction transformers with a capacity of 20 MVA (Megavolt Ampere) and 55 trackside auto transformers rated at 7.5 MVA. These transformers will be delivered to Linxon Global Sweden and are expected to be completed by October 2025.
The second contract, worth USD 2.80 million, was awarded by ArcelorMittal Mexico for the supply of a 175 MVA, 66 kV electrical arc furnace transformer. The project is scheduled for completion by December 2024.
These orders come as Transformers and Rectifiers (India) continues to expand its global footprint, following a recent leadership change that saw Rob Dunn appointed as the company’s permanent CEO. The business is moving forward after a corruption scandal that led to the arrest of its previous CEO and the ousting of the country's prime minister.
