
Trench Group GmbH has entered into a long-term framework agreement with Hitachi Energy for the supply of Air Core Reactors to support High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems and power grid solutions. The agreement aims to enhance grid stability and ensure a sustainable electricity supply amid rising global demand.
The contract was signed by Dr. Bahadir Basdere, CEO of Trench Group, and Klaus Merklein, CCO of Trench Group, alongside Niklas Persson, Managing Director of Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit, and Donato Scaccini, Head of SCM of the same division.
“This partnership enables us to contribute to a secure and sustainable power supply while leveraging our expertise in air-core reactors to strengthen future power grids,” said Dr. Bahadir Basdere.
“Our Air Core Reactors are vital for maintaining grid stability and voltage quality in HVDC networks, a key technology for renewable energy integration,” added Klaus Merklein.
