Tyree NZ LTD has officially inaugurated its new Distribution Transformer Production facility in Mangere, Auckland, marking a significant milestone for New Zealand’s energy sector. This development signals the return of Tyree Transformers manufacturing to Aotearoa, enhancing local access to distribution transformers and substation products engineered to meet the demands of New Zealand’s evolving energy landscape.

At the opening event, guests received a guided tour of the new facility, observing the advanced manufacturing equipment and state-of-the-art production practices. The Mangere facility is designed to bolster New Zealand’s infrastructure by providing high-quality, locally manufactured transformers, with a focus on reliability and precision engineering.

Tyree Transformers, founded in 1946 by Sir William Tyree, has a longstanding reputation for delivering power solutions throughout Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, and Southeast Asia.
