KATHMANDU, NEPAL – Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is executing a challenging 220 kV Trishuli III B substation project in Kathmandu, with more than 60 per cent of the construction work completed.
Currently, the company is constructing the base for the power transformer and the substation control building.
While construction of security walls of the substation is nearing completion, other equipment related to the substation will be supplied to the project site within the next one-and-a-half months, reports The Himalayan Times.
The $71.6 million substation project is financed by the European Investment Bank, German Development Bank (KfW), the European Union and NEA, and it is slated for completion by December 31.
