VIE Technologies has closed a $15 million Series A funding round, led by Energy Impact Partners (EIP). The funding will support product development, market expansion, and talent acquisition to enhance transformer monitoring and predictive maintenance capabilities.
VIE Technologies has developed a non-invasive, AI-powered solution that uses IoT sensors and predictive analytics to detect equipment issues early. The technology enables energy providers, data centers, and industrial operators to prevent failures, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
VIE Technologies was established in 2017 by a leading group of technology veterans and is headquartered in San Diego, CA.
Currently deployed on 450 transformers, the system monitors over 1.2 GW of capacity across key industries. As electricity demand increases due to data centers, manufacturing, and electrification, the solution aims to improve grid reliability and reduce operational risks.
"Securing this funding allows us to expand and further optimize our predictive maintenance technology," said Rahul Chaturvedi, CEO of VIE Technologies.
“VIE Technologies is addressing a critical challenge in energy infrastructure by improving reliability and efficiency,” said Cassie Bowe, Partner at Energy Impact Partners.
