BRAZIL – WEG has completed the project of retrofitting a three-phase elevator transformer for the Brazilian electric utility COPEL.
The project was carried out at the utility’s 1,240-MW Salto Caxias power plant located in the Capitão Leônidas Marques municipality of the Brazilian state of Paraná.
In addition to the retrofitting of the transformer, the project involved the supply and installation of 12 high voltage RIP SF6 bushings in four other transformers, as well as the supply of bushings for the spare transformer, the manufacturer said in a press release.
