Weidmann Croatia has been awarded a €2.4 million grant through the EU SPIN Innovation Program to support a groundbreaking three-year research and development project. This initiative aims to advance the design and production of innovative insulation components for transformers, leveraging cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies.
The grant will facilitate the automation of production processes, including the development of new equipment, enhanced component designs, and the implementation of advanced testing methods. According to Robert Malasic, General Manager of Weidmann Croatia, these innovations will deliver improved product features, optimized production efficiency, and reduced lead times while maintaining the company’s high-quality standards.
Malasic added that the initiative will also strengthen connectivity with local entrepreneurs, support secure digital communication, and foster regional development through technical business solutions.
