Torrens Island, AUSTRALIA – Locals have lined up on both sides of the road to watch the transformer leave their power transformer factory in Glen Waverley.
Wilson Transformer company has announced that their transformer hit the road last night and locals lined up on both sides of the road to watch the transformer leave their power transformer factory in Glen Waverley.
According to the company, the transformer should be traveling in stages across several days to its new home – the 250MW Torrens Island grid-scale battery in South Australia. The project should support South Australia’s energy transition, providing essential capacity when renewable generation is impacted and during periods of high demand.
