Nexans Names Julien Hueber as New CEO
NEXANS has announced the appointment of Julien Hueber as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He replaces Christopher Guérin, who will remain available to assist with the transition until October 31, 2025.
The leadership change is part of a broader effort by the company's Board of Directors to support its strategic roadmap and performance goals outlined during its most recent Capital Market Day.
Hueber currently leads the company's PWR Grid & Connect Europe business, a €2.6 billion ($3 billion) segment encompassing 23 manufacturing plants. He has been with Nexans since 2002 and has held multiple senior roles, including leadership positions in supply chain, purchasing, and operations across the Asia-Pacific region. He has served on the company's Executive Committee since 2018.
According to the company, the appointment reflects Hueber's operational experience, familiarity with the organization, and track record in executing strategic initiatives. His most recent role saw significant growth in the PWR Grid & Connect Europe segment.
The Board acknowledged Guérin's contributions during his seven-year tenure as CEO, highlighting his role in reshaping Nexans' focus on sustainable electrification and operational performance.
The leadership transition is effective immediately, with continuity expected during the handover period.
