Nordex Expands German Pipeline with 82 MW Order for N175 Turbinesc
Nordex SE has received new orders from Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie GmbH & Co. KG (WNE) for the supply and installation of twelve wind turbines, totaling 82 MW of installed capacity in Germany.
The order covers the N175/6.X wind turbine model, which will be deployed across three projects in the district of Höxter in North Rhine-Westphalia. The developments include the Dringenberg project with seven turbines, Gehrden Ost with three turbines, and the Gehrden Fölsen extension with two turbines. Each turbine will feature a hub height of 179 meters.
In addition to supply and installation, the contracts include a 20-year premium service agreement for long-term maintenance and operational support.
Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-2027. The order builds on an ongoing partnership between Nordex and WNE, which recently included a separate commissioning of three turbines for another wind project in the region.
According to both companies, the projects are intended to support regional energy transition efforts through the deployment of higher-capacity, efficient onshore wind technology.
