Nordex Group to Supply 236 MW of Turbines for North American Wind Projects
Nordex Group has been selected to supply and install 236 MW of N163 turbines for upcoming wind projects in North America, with installation expected to begin in 2027.
The turbines will include the cold climate version of the N163/6.X model, equipped with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System for rotor blades. This technology is designed to maintain high turbine availability and reduce ice-related downtime during harsh winter conditions.
The identities of the customers and the specific projects have not been disclosed.
Founded in Germany, Nordex Group has installed around 57 GW of wind power capacity across more than 40 markets. In 2024, the company reported consolidated sales of approximately $7.9 billion (EUR 7.3 billion) and employs over 10,400 people. Its manufacturing network spans Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the USA, focusing on onshore turbines in the 4-7 MW+ class. These turbines are designed for markets with limited space and regions with constrained grid capacity.
