Nordex SE Secures 118-MW Wind Turbine Order in Poland
German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE has secured an order to supply 118 MW of wind turbines for a project in Poland. The contract was awarded by an unnamed international independent power producer.
Under the agreement, Nordex SE will provide 20 N149/5.X wind turbines. The order also includes a premium service contract covering up to 15 years, offering long-term maintenance and support.
Nordex SE has a significant presence in Poland, having already installed over 600 wind turbines, totaling 1.7 GW of capacity. Globally, the company has installed around 57 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets since its inception.
The company’s order book stood at EUR 14.9 billion (USD 17.3 billion) at the end of September, up from EUR 11.5 billion a year earlier, reflecting robust demand for wind energy solutions worldwide.
The new order underscores the continued growth of renewable energy in Poland and Europe, as utilities and independent power producers increasingly invest in large-scale wind projects.
