Notus Energy to Build Major 400 MW Wind Farm Near Kyiv
Notus Energy, a German renewable energy company, has announced plans to build a significant wind power plant near Kyiv, Ukraine. The company signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Makariv community in the Kyiv region, marking the beginning of a strategic green energy initiative.
The wind farm, expected to have a capacity of 400 MW, will be constructed with approximately 60 turbines. This project is set to become one of the largest in the region and is strategically located due to the area's favorable wind conditions. Vadym Tokar, the head of the Makariv community, shared the news via Telegram.
The wind farm is expected to generate multiple benefits for the community. The project will create numerous new jobs, attract significant infrastructure investments, and contribute to the region's energy independence by providing a source of clean, renewable energy. Notus Energy's investment in the region highlights the growing importance of renewable energy in Ukraine, especially in the context of increasing energy security.
Notus Energy, which operates wind power plants globally with a combined capacity of 1.64 GW, also revealed plans for a 300 MW wind farm in the Odessa region last year. The company's efforts in Ukraine further emphasize its commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions in Eastern Europe.
