RHODE ISLAND, US -- Yesterday Ørsted U.S. announced its major investment plans for the Rhode Island region.

The company has said that they have major plans to invest in the infrastructure of the ports as well as establish a regional operations hub at the Quonset Business Park and expand its workforce, including its offshore wind crews, vessels, and heliservice to maintain its Northeast wind farms.

"We're all in on making Rhode Island a leader in the blue economy while creating good-paying jobs along the way," said Governor Dan McKee during his visit to the Flex 5 industrial space that is currently under construction at Quonset. "It's clear -- Rhode Island has the momentum. Let's keep going," the Governor concluded.
