Orlen has secured approximately US $937 million (€805 million) in financing from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) under Poland's National Recovery Plan to accelerate its offshore wind portfolio, including the Baltic Power and Baltic East projects.

Of the total, about US $240 million (€207 million) will support the Baltic Power offshore wind farm, with the remainder allocated to Baltic East. The funding aligns with Orlen's strategy to expand low- and zero-emission energy generation and strengthen national and regional energy security.

The financing will be used to cover manufacture, delivery, and installation of offshore wind turbines and foundations, supporting the construction of critical renewable energy infrastructure. Baltic Power, a joint venture between Orlen and Northland Power, is Poland's most advanced offshore wind project and is expected to begin generating electricity next year, meeting up to 3% of national demand.

Orlen and its partners plan to develop additional offshore wind projects totaling around 5.5 GW, including Baltic East, which is being prepared for the December 2025 capacity auction.

BGK emphasized that offshore wind projects contribute to multiple sectors, including logistics, marine engineering, and national supply chains, driving broader economic development and job creation across the region.
