GREECE - Siemens Gamesa reaches a total of 992 MW of wind energy installed or under construction in Greece.

Siemens Gamesa has announced that they have signed a contract with a construction company for a 36 MW wind farm in Central Greece. The Karkaros wind farm is expected to be commissioned in Autumn 2023 and should feature seven turbines.

According to Siemens Gamesa, this new wind farm should support the energy transition in Greece with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

With this agreement, Siemens Gamesa reaches a total of 992 MW of wind energy installed or under construction in Greece.
