SUNOTEC and Sungrow Partner on 2.4 GWh Battery Storage Projects in Europe
SUNOTEC, a European solar energy solutions provider, and Sungrow, a manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems, have entered into an agreement to deploy 2.4 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across multiple solar projects in Europe.
The projects include several large-scale installations in Bulgaria, some of which are supported by Bulgaria's RESTORE national support programme. These installations are among the largest energy storage systems planned in Bulgaria and Europe.
Under the agreement, Sungrow will supply its PowerTitan 2.0 BESS, the SG350HX-20 string inverter, and its MVS system for a hybrid photovoltaic and energy storage project within the portfolio.
This collaboration marks Sungrow's first battery storage project in Bulgaria. The battery systems are expected to support grid stability, improve renewable energy integration, and enhance the reliability of solar parks developed by SUNOTEC across Bulgaria and other European markets.
Representatives from both companies noted the agreement as part of ongoing efforts to advance energy storage infrastructure and support the transition to renewable energy.
