Sunraycer Advances Construction of Three Solar and Battery Projects in Texas
Sunraycer Renewables LLC is advancing the construction of three large-scale solar and battery storage projects in Texas’ ERCOT power market, supported by a $901 million financing package.
The projects—Eagle Springs, Lupinus 1, and Lupinus 2—combine utility-scale solar generation with battery energy storage to help meet growing electricity demand in the region, driven in part by industrial expansion and data center growth.
Once completed, the portfolio will deliver 479.5 MWac of solar capacity and 236.5 MWac of battery storage.
Construction on all three projects began in late 2025. Eagle Springs is expected to reach commercial operation later this year, while Lupinus 1 and Lupinus 2 are scheduled to come online in 2027.
David Lillefloren, CEO of Sunraycer Renewables LLC, said the projects reflect the company’s continued expansion in clean energy infrastructure. “This financing represents another significant milestone for Sunraycer as we continue to scale our platform and deliver critical energy infrastructure to meet accelerating demand,” he said.
He added that the developments aim to deliver “reliable, cost-effective power to the grid” through a combination of solar generation and storage.
The projects form part of a broader buildout of renewable energy assets across Texas, where ERCOT is facing sustained growth in electricity demand.
