The 284-MWDC Stillhouse Solar project has officially been completed in Rogers, Texas, marking a significant development in the state’s renewable energy landscape. Developed by Matrix Renewables and constructed by SOLV Energy, the project represents over $370 million in private investment and created more than 320 construction jobs, many filled by local workers.
Matrix Renewables, the project owner, noted the milestone as a demonstration of how renewable energy projects can support both sustainability goals and local economies. SOLV Energy provided engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the solar field, high-voltage substation, and SCADA systems, and will continue managing long-term operations and maintenance (O&M).
The project adds significant capacity to Texas’s clean energy infrastructure, supporting the state’s growing electricity demand while contributing to its renewable energy goals.
Executives from both companies highlighted the collaboration and the role of the project in strengthening the local economy.
