The final turbine installed at RWE’s Kaskasi wind farm

24 Nov 2022

GERMANY - The 342 MW wind farm is set to supply electricity to over 400,000 households.

Siemens Gamesa has announced that the final turbine has been installed at RWE's Kaskasi wind farm, with two-thirds of installed turbines at the site already generating green energy.

According to Siemens Gamesa, the 342 MW wind farm is set to supply electricity to over 400,000 households, including electricity derived from turbines fitted with the world's first recyclable rotor blades: Siemens Gamesa's RecyclableBlade.

The recyclable rotor blades reflect Siemens Gamesa and RWE's commitment to enhancing the recycling practices of wind projects, with the innovative resin of the recyclable rotor blades allowing for the component materials to be separated and reused in other applications. They reflect the excellence in innovation and technology that will drive the green transition forward, and Siemens Gamesa Team is pleased to see this excellence come to life with the completion of installations at the Kaskasi wind farm.
