EDPR Sells Five Wind and Solar Projects in Italy
EDP Renewables (EDPR) has completed the sale of a 68 MWac (70 MWdc) wind and solar portfolio in Italy to PLT Energia, in a transaction valued at an enterprise value of €150 million.
The deal includes five operating renewable energy projects located across the southern Italian regions of Puglia, Basilicata and Campania. The portfolio consists of four wind projects with a combined capacity of 60 MW, supported by 20-year Contracts for Difference (CfDs), and one solar project with a capacity of 8 MWac (9 MWdc), backed by a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The assets have an average operating life of 11 years for the wind projects, while the solar facility has been operational for less than one year.
The completed transaction follows the sale agreement announced by EDPR on June 30, 2026, and represents another step in the company's asset rotation strategy, which involves monetizing operating assets while supporting continued investment in renewable energy development.
