Eurowind Energy Acquires EnBW Swedish Renewable Energy Platform
Eurowind Energy has signed an agreement to acquire EnBW’s Swedish renewable energy platform, expanding its operational presence in Sweden and strengthening its position in the Nordic renewable energy market.
The acquired platform includes approximately 120 MW of operating onshore wind assets, a portfolio of renewable energy development projects, and an established operations and maintenance (O&M) business.
Jens Rasmussen, CEO of Eurowind Energy, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s growth strategy in Sweden. “This is a business we know well, and it fits well with Eurowind Energy. It strengthens our presence in Sweden with operating assets, good addition to our current development opportunities in Sweden and experienced local colleagues,” Rasmussen said.
The transaction follows Eurowind Energy’s earlier acquisition of Connected Wind Services Denmark from EnBW. As part of the latest deal, Connected Wind Services will establish operations in Sweden, creating a platform for expanding renewable energy service activities in the country.
Eurowind Energy said the acquisition will combine renewable energy generation, project development, and maintenance services under one organisation. The operating assets are expected to contribute immediately, while the development portfolio will support future renewable energy projects.
The completion of the transaction is subject to approval under Sweden’s foreign direct investment (FDI) screening regime and is expected in the third quarter of 2026.
