Ilmatar Sells Finland’s Korpilevonmäki Wind Farm to UB Renewable Energy

Ilmatar has sold its Korpilevonmäki wind farm in Säkylä, Finland, to the UB Renewable Energy Fund, part of United Bankers. The fund will initially acquire a 40% stake, with plans to purchase the remainder in the future.

The 38.4MW wind farm, consisting of six turbines, began commercial operations in March 2025, ahead of schedule. It generates 125 GWh of renewable energy annually, enough to power 50,000 apartment buildings or 6,200 detached houses.

Ilmatar will continue to operate the wind farm despite the ownership transfer. The project was originally initiated by local landowners, with Ilmatar acquiring rights in 2021 and completing development.

Juha-Pekka Weckström, Ilmatar's CEO, stated: "United Bankers is a new strategic partner for us. Their involvement strengthens our network and opens opportunities for future cooperation."

Additionally, MondelÄ"z International has signed a 10-year power purchase agreement with Ilmatar for electricity from Korpilevonmäki.
