Michele Harradence to Succeed Greg Ebel as Enbridge CEO in 2027
Enbridge Inc. has appointed Michele Harradence president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2027, succeeding Greg Ebel, who will retire Dec. 31, 2026. Harradence, currently executive vice-president, gas distribution and storage, will also join Enbridge’s board.
The appointment follows a multi-year succession process led by the board.
Ebel became Enbridge president and CEO in January 2023 after joining the company in 2017 through its merger with Spectra Energy Corp., where he was president and CEO. He will remain on Enbridge’s board through year-end and advise the board and Harradence from January through May 2027.
Board Chair Steve Williams credited Ebel with securing Enbridge’s $41-billion growth project backlog and overseeing the acquisition of three U.S. natural gas utilities from Dominion Energy.
Harradence has more than 25 years of energy industry experience. She has led Enbridge’s gas utility business since 2022 and joined the company in 2014 after 16 years with Shell.
