Vaisala has announced its latest innovations in WindCube® Scan, the scanning lidar solution that provides unprecedented measurement range and reliability, along with the most accurate and timely intelligence for meteorology, aviation and wind energy industries.

New features of Vaisala's solution include a more robust exterior, a new scanning head, and an enhanced laser design to allow for an operationally consistent range of up to 10 kilometers (6 miles).

According to Vaisala, their enhanced solution delivers the next generation of lidar technology, raising the bar to enable world-leading wind measurement, increased situational awareness and mission-critical actionable intelligence.
