Yemen Government chooses Siemens Energy to support effort to build country’s infrastructure

YEMEN - Siemens Energy has been doing business in the Middle East for over 160 years.


Siemens Energy has announced that the Government of Yemen has chosen Siemens Energy to support its effort to build the country's infrastructure. They have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Republic of Yemen for the re-electrification of the country.

According to Siemens Energy, the MoU focuses on the essential elements of the electrification of Yemen. This includes the addition of new and highly efficient power generation capacity, diversifying the country's energy mix through new and renewable energy sources, rehabilitation and upgrade of existing plants, as well as supporting the expansion of transmission and distribution networks.

According to Siemens Energy, they have been doing business in the Middle East for over 160 years, participating in the development of many countries around the region and they plan to assist countries like Yemen in building a stable energy infrastructure.
