Zelestra Secures $600M for Texas Solar Projects
Zelestra has secured $600 million in green project financing from Société Générale and HSBC for two solar projects in Texas, US. The projects, Echols Grove (252 MW) and Cedar Range (187 MW), are currently under construction and supported by long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Meta.
The combined 440 MW portfolio is part of a larger series of seven projects with Meta, totaling 1.2 GW. These projects contribute to increasing the supply of renewable energy for corporate consumption in the United States.
Sybil Milo Cioffi, Zelestra’s US CFO, said: “This financing marks a significant milestone in the delivery of our largest U.S. solar projects to date. It reflects strong confidence from Société Générale and HSBC in our strategy and execution capabilities.”
The projects will use more than 700,000 bifacial solar modules across approximately 2,400 acres. Construction is expected to generate around 400 jobs and $20 million in local expenditure.
Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Zelestra is developing a portfolio of around 15 GW of renewable energy projects across multiple markets. In February 2026, BloombergNEF ranked the company among the top 10 PPA sellers to corporate customers in the US.
The financing and ongoing construction of Echols Grove and Cedar Range demonstrate continued investment in utility-scale solar capacity in Texas, contributing to the growth of renewable energy generation in the region.
