Italy’s major Transmission Grid operator Terna has mandated Spanish company Santander to look for investors in order to expand its operations in Brazil, Peru and Uruguay, and strengthen its presence in Latin America, reports Reuters.
Terna could raise 200-300 million euro (227-340 million US dollars) through this process, a couple of sources said, which would help Terna expand its footprint in Latin America.
Terna has concessions to develop power transmission lines in Brazil, Uruguay and Peru, where it has committed to invest around 245 million euros (278 million US dollars) to 2022.
