CWIEME Berlin’s 30th edition didn’t just mark a milestone—it captured a moment. With global electrification accelerating and the Grid under unprecedented pressure to modernize, the 2026 show felt aligned with the urgency and ambition of the sector it serves.
The conference program set the tone early. Outstanding speakers and a noticeably stronger C-Suite presence brought strategic weight to discussions on supply chain resilience, grid readiness, and the industrial shifts reshaping electrical manufacturing. Expert driven panels added sharp analysis and candid debate, giving attendees a clear view of where the industry is heading—and what challenges lie ahead.
CWIEME’s commitment to the next generation was equally visible. The expanded mentoring program for young professionals created meaningful exchanges between emerging engineers and industry veterans, reinforcing the show’s role as a talent building platform.
On the exhibition floor, innovation was everywhere. Motor production technologies drew crowds, while leading coil production equipment companies unveiled new capabilities and refinements to their portfolios. A strong showing of cable, wire, and insulation materials rounded out a floor that reflected the full spectrum of technologies powering transformers, motors, and advanced electrical systems.
Then came one of the week’s most anticipated moments: the return of the CWIEME Awards after four years. The ceremony honored engineering excellence, sustainability leadership, and innovation across the electrical manufacturing ecosystem, including recognition of a key contribution to the Global Coil Winding Industry—a welcome revival of a tradition many felt had been missing.
Throughout the event, unparalleled networking defined the atmosphere. Engineers, executives, and technology leaders reconnected with a sense of purpose, underscoring CWIEME’s role as the sector’s global crossroads. With broad international representation, the 2026 edition confirmed CWIEME Berlin’s status as the place where the future of electrical manufacturing takes shape.
In her first year leading the portfolio, Melissa Magestro, CWIEME’s new Portfolio Director, stepped into Berlin as the event’s unmistakable torch bearer. Taking on the 30th edition was no small mandate, yet Magestro delivered a show that felt both sharpened and re energized. She was superbly backed by a highly motivated and exceptionally competent team — a well oiled machine that executed flawlessly across all fronts. Her leadership was visible across the halls, from the strengthened conference program to the elevated exhibitor mix, and the 2026 results reflected a confident, modernized direction for the CWIEME brand.

« One of my standout moments was opening the 30th anniversary edition of the show alongside the Advisory Committee. It was a proud and powerful reminder of how far CWIEME has come, and an exciting opportunity to look ahead at the innovation, partnerships and progress that will define its next chapter.
The PowerUp Party was another real highlight, bringing the industry together in a vibrant, relaxed setting to celebrate success, reconnect with customers and spark new conversations. The energy was fantastic, with valuable connections being made throughout the evening.
We also announced the 2027 launch of the Grid Delivery Summit, a major step forward for CWIEME as we expand further across the electrification value chain. By bringing grid operators together with manufacturers and suppliers, the Summit will create a vital new platform for collaboration around one of the most urgent challenges in the energy transition.
We were also honoured to host the EEMODS Conference, helping bring the electric motor industry even closer into the CWIEME community and reinforcing the event’s role as the true meeting point for electrification. »
