Captona Backs 55 MW Nexamp Solar and Storage Portfolio
US investment firm Captona has made a preferred equity investment in 10 solar and battery storage projects developed by Nexamp across four states.
The financing supports 55 MW of solar generation and 5 MWh of battery storage in Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts and New York. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“Meeting rising energy demand requires us to bring new generation online quickly, and that takes strong, flexible partnerships across the industry,” said Anjali Patel, Nexamp’s vice president of capital markets and strategy.
The transaction builds on Captona’s preferred equity financing programme, launched in 2023.
Nexamp operates nearly 1.5 GW of renewable energy assets, with several additional gigawatts under construction or development.
Earlier in 2026, Nexamp secured $106 million to finance 20 operating community solar projects across the same four states, expanding its portfolio of distributed renewable energy assets.
