Qualitas Energy Targets $10.8 Billion Renewable Investment Plan
Qualitas Energy has unveiled a new strategic plan targeting more than €10 billion ($10.8 billion) in investments by 2029 across renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure projects.
The company said the strategy for the 2026–2029 period will focus on expanding investments in solar PV, wind energy, energy storage, hydroelectric power, renewable natural gas, and other low-carbon infrastructure assets.
According to Qualitas Energy, the plan is anchored around its flagship investment vehicle, Qualitas Energy Fund VI (QE VI), launched at the end of 2025 with a target size of €3.25 billion ($3.5 billion) and currently in fundraising and deployment phases.
The investment platform said its strategy combines two primary approaches: the consolidation and development of small and medium-sized renewable energy assets and portfolios, alongside larger-scale private equity and platform-level transactions targeting growth opportunities in energy infrastructure markets.
Qualitas Energy currently manages a portfolio of approximately 11 GW of operational and development-stage renewable energy assets across markets including Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Chile, and the United States.
The company also stated that it plans to continue expanding its private credit strategy and explore additional financing instruments linked to the energy transition sector.
Capital deployment is expected to focus on established renewable energy markets in Europe while also targeting selected opportunities in more capacity-constrained or regulated markets such as the United States and Italy.
The announcement comes amid continued growth in global renewable energy investment, driven by increasing electricity demand, grid modernization requirements, decarbonisation policies, and rising investment in energy storage and flexible power infrastructure.
Qualitas Energy has expanded significantly in recent years through acquisitions and renewable energy development projects, including recent investments in Polish solar portfolios and European onshore wind assets.
The company said the strategic plan represents a continuation of its long-term investment model focused on scaling renewable energy platforms and supporting the broader energy transition across international markets.
